About the programme

A Polish national programme running from 2025 to 2029, designed to support the development and commercialisation of dual-use technologies — civilian and military. It is structured around three complementary components: venture building for early-stage teams, an accelerator track (DUET – Dual-Use Emerging Technologies) for fast-growth pathways, and a national mentor network connecting technology and defence expertise. The programme was developed by the Ministry of Development and Technology in close cooperation with the Ministry of National Defence, with delivery managed by the Department of Innovation and Industrial Policy.

Why it matters

This is Poland's first comprehensive dual-use innovation programme, giving defence-tech startups and SMEs structured access to incubation, acceleration, and a national network of defence and technology mentors. Top-performing projects can unlock follow-on equity financing through the PFR Deep Tech fund, creating a full pipeline from idea to scale. The programme also explicitly targets NATO interoperability, making it strategically relevant for companies seeking both domestic and alliance-level traction.
