About the programme

The Security and Defence Fund is a roughly PLN 22.5 billion KPO instrument, the first of its kind in the EU, split into a loan leg run by BGK and an equity leg run by Chrobry S.A. The enterprise loan window opened on 6 July 2026 as a continuous intake, offering PLN 10-300 million loans at interest from 1% per year, repayment up to 20 years with a 12-month grace period and no fees or commissions. Eligible projects cover military and dual-use production, energy continuity, critical infrastructure protection and cybersecurity.

Why it matters

The cheapest large-scale debt available to Polish defence and dual-use manufacturers: 1% money for up to 20 years covering up to 100% of project costs. First-come, first-served until the PLN 2.5 billion tranche is exhausted.
