FMV's technology development programme for spotting civilian technology relevant to Swedish Armed Forces capabilities. It works through announced TechDays (open idea pitches on a defined theme) and technology challenges (competitive solutions to a specific problem), after which FMV places paid orders for analyses, tests or demonstrations. FMV never issues grants under the programme and does not fund product development; every award is an order with a deliverable. Past themes include AI, defence medicine, space applications, energy systems and human performance monitoring.
A low-barrier, paid first contract with FMV that lets a civilian tech company demonstrate military relevance without a procurement track record.

The single largest pot of near-term Danish defence procurement money, with an explicit invitation for industry to propose what to buy. Speed to fielding is the main selection criterion.
German Federal Government (BMVg and BMI)
One of very few German vehicles paying companies directly for security and defence-relevant research, with multi-million-euro phased contracts. Procurement-law process means longer lead times; watch the partnering events.
