About the programme

Innobooster is Innovation Fund Denmark's rolling grant programme for innovation projects in SMEs, assessed in application periods spread across the year. Since August 2025 it carries a dedicated defence and security technology theme linked to the Defence Tech Denmark initiative, with its own assessment committees, and the theme continues in the 2026 application periods. Applying under the theme can also feed into assessment for the Defence Tech Denmark growth programme if the applicant opts in.

Why it matters

The lowest-friction national grant for a Danish defence or dual-use SME, with decisions in weeks rather than months. It doubles as an entry point into the Defence Tech Denmark accelerator.
