INFOSTRATEG is a Polish strategic R&D programme funding the development of AI and blockchain solutions with direct practical applications, run by NCBR under the broader 'Advanced Information, Telecommunications and Mechatronic Technologies' programme (2020–2029). The ninth thematic competition (INFOSTRATEG IX) targets Topic T10 – recognition of human behaviours in video – across two thematic areas: intelligent monitoring and public-safety systems, and human-machine interfaces based on behavioural recognition. The phased structure with gate reviews reduces waste while ensuring results reach deployment readiness, and the open-source/open-data requirement creates reusable baseline assets that can accelerate follow-on commercial or defence procurement bids. Polish SMEs and research-industry consortia with computer-vision or situational-awareness IP should treat this as a primary national pathway before pursuing EDF or other EU-level instruments.
