About the programme

Innovation Fund Denmark's flagship Grand Solutions programme runs a dedicated 2026 call for strategic research and innovation in single-use defence and dual-use critical technologies. The call emphasises technologies contributing to defence capability, national resilience and security of supply for Denmark and the EU. It uses a two-phase application process, with phase 1 open from 1 May to 1 September 2026 and decisions expected around nine months after phase 1 submission.

Why it matters

The largest open national grant call for Danish defence-tech R&D in 2026, with tickets up to DKK 30 million per project. Consortia with a Danish lead entity can pull in foreign partners.
