About the programme

Defence Tech Denmark is Denmark's first national growth programme for defence-tech startups and SMEs, founded by the Danish Industry Foundation, Innovation Fund Denmark and EIFO with a DKK 200 million allocation. Participants get tailored development sprints, mentoring, regulatory and certification guidance, access to test and laboratory facilities, technology demonstrations with the Danish defence acquisition agency (FMI/DALO) and exposure to defence investors including EIFO. The first cohort of 27 companies started on 16 January 2026, selected from around 150 applicants.

Why it matters

The state-backed front door into the Danish defence market for early-stage companies, including demo opportunities with the national procurement agency. It does not hand out cash directly but connects participants to Innobooster, Innofounder and EIFO capital.
