About the programme

COINCIDENTE co-finances R&D projects that adapt dual-use civil technology to concrete defence problems defined by the Spanish Ministry of Defence. The 2026 call covered topics including counter-UAS (NCUAS), SEVME and IAEM, with per-project MINISDEF contributions capped between EUR 805,785 and EUR 975,000 and a maximum execution period of 30 months. Co-funding intensity scales by entity type, from 30% for large companies up to 80% for universities.

Why it matters

The main direct route into Spanish MoD-funded R&D for companies without a prime contract, with generous co-funding for small firms and topics that signal real procurement interest.
