The AAL BAA (W911NF-24-S-0008, open 5 April 2024 – 4 April 2029) is a continuously open, competitive solicitation through which the U.S. Army Applications Laboratory invites white papers and full proposals from industry, academia, and government for disruptive technology R&D across three lines of effort: discovery, acceleration, and translation.
For defence-tech companies and deep-tech SMEs, the AAL BAA provides a low-barrier, rolling entry point into U.S. Army funding—submitting a white paper is the first step, meaning no lengthy full proposal upfront.
